Today it was a pretty exciting day for MS EVIL RACING. As we expected after the timed training of Friday Sam Hill get into 1st position followed by Gee Atherton and Steve Peat. The boys of MS EVIL RACING did really good and were able to qualify in the top 20. So Steve ended up in 7th position, Matti in 11th and Filip got 19th.
Even Filip was the 3rd in the internal MS EVIL ranking he was the man of the day as he was also racing 4X today. In the most interesting 4X race of the 09 season, which was characterized by a couple of passing maneuvers and some spectacular race action, Filip stands out as the entertainer of the race. He showed passionate heart blood racing with awesome whips, fast lines and passing maneuvers just before the finish line. In the end he got 7th, but the fact that he was entertaining the spectators and that he made this race so interesting to watch made him the man of the day- thanks Filip for one of the most thrilling 4X race I have ever seen.

Tomorrow is the downhill race and after the awesome results of the qualifying we hope for some good results in the race of the weekend. We left La Bresse France with some solid results, as Steve ended up in 15th position and Matti came back into the top 20 with a 19 place. After a trip of 1100 kilometers we arrived on Tuesday in La Massana for the 3rd gravity world cup round.

Because of the good weather on Tuesday we expect a nice race weekend with warm condition, but as usual for Andorra the weather changed 180°… rainstorm, minus degrees and snow in the night. Luckily the weather changed again and so we had a good trainings session today, where Matti was able to test a brand new frame and Steve point out with the 2nd fastest time in the timed trainings session with just 5 tens of a second behind Sam Hill.
After the Thursday 4 cross training was cancelled because of bad track conditions Filip and the rest of the 4X guild compete the 4X qualification with just a limited training. Nevertheless Filip was able to qualify 7th, which seems to be a good starting position for the 4X race on Saturday. He will compete against GUIJARRO and KIENER in his first heat which is heat number 11th on Saturday evening. Stay tuned for the race and follow the action on freecaster.tv.
